As a result of rising heating costs, we were contacted to carry out a survey of this home. Following the survey, we determined that external wall insulation or dry ling were the only options available.
The Client was carrying out a full renovation to this house when they contacted us to insulated the outside of their home. Their Architect recommended external wall insulation to our Client as the thermal performance and the appearance of the house needed to be improved.
Following a survey of this house, we found that the external walls were solid concrete walls. This semi-detached house was upgraded with 100mm thick external wall insulation and an airtight seal was applied around the new windows and doors which significantly improved the comfort of the home.
The walls of this countryside two story detached house were constructed of solid brick which made this house suitable for external wall insulation. We applied 100mm thick insulation to the outside of the house and plastered it with an acrylic coloured render.
